On the sixth day of the senior competition, Aminzadeh successfully lifted 255 kg in his first attempt and then lifted 260 kg in the second attempt. Although he failed to lift 270 kg in his third attempt, his second lift secured him the gold medal and the world championship title.
Another Iranian representative in this category, Mehdi Sayyadi, successfully lifted 237 kg in the first attempt but failed at 242 kg and 250 kg in his subsequent tries, finishing sixth worldwide.
