Dr. Ghafour Kargari, President of the National Paralympic Committee, and Dr. Jalil Koohpayeh Zadeh, President of the Federation, traveled to the capital of Kazakhstan to participate in the APC 2025 Conference and the General Assembly of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC).

According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, and citing the National Paralympic Committee, the 38th meeting of the APC Executive Board commenced this morning with members in attendance and presided over by Majid Rashid, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee. In this meeting, Dr. Kargari served as the Senior Advisor to the APC President, and Dr. Koohpayeh Zadeh participated as the Chair of the APC Medical Committee.

The APC Conference, held on August 11-12, 2025 (20-21 Mordad 1404), focused on the agenda “Building the Backbone for Asian Paralympic Sports through Youth Empowerment.” The program included reports from APC sub-committees, speeches on doping in sports, presentations by international federations on the development of sports disciplines in Asia, and regional Asia working group sessions.

The 2025 General Assembly of the Asian Paralympic Committee took place on August 13-14, 2025 (22-23 Mordad 1404). It featured the biennial reports, discussion of new points in the strategic plan, reading financial reports, proposals from the executive board and APC members, award ceremonies for Asia’s top achievers, and reports on upcoming events such as the Para-Asian Youth Games, Winter Paralympics Milan-Cortina, Aichi-Nagoya Para-Asian Games, Los Angeles Paralympic Games, and other forthcoming events in the coming years.
