Uber has been selected as the official partner for transportation and rapid delivery services at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
According to the Public Relations of the National Paralympic Committee and the LA28 official website, Uber will leverage advanced technology, an extensive network of pick-up and drop-off points, and strong operational experience to enhance the diverse transportation system in Los Angeles. Services will include cars, bicycles, and scooters to facilitate easier access to competition venues.
Uber Eats, the world’s largest food delivery service, will be responsible for delivering food to the Olympic and Paralympic Villages. Additionally, spectators will have the option to order food online at some venues, improving their overall experience.
Casey Wasserman, Chair of the LA28 Organizing Committee, stated:
“Transportation is at the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Uber’s innovation will help us create an unparalleled experience for athletes and spectators alike.”
Uber is also collaborating with NBC Universal to support media coverage of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Games and Los Angeles 2028, aiming to tell athletes’ stories in an engaging way.
The LA28 Organizing Committee, with a focus on public transportation, will utilize Uber’s services to facilitate access for athletes, spectators, and the global community to competition venues.
