World Para Swimming Championships – Japan: Abolfazl Zarifpour Claims Second Gold Medal

ran’s national para-swimmer secured a gold medal and earned a qualification spot for the World Championships in Singapore.

According to the Public Relations Department of irisfd, on the second day of competitions, Abolfazl Zarifpour won gold in the 200m individual medley S9 final with a time of 2:27.90, setting a new national record and securing his place in the Singapore World Championships. Abolfazl Malek-Oladi, another Iranian representative in this event, finished in sixth place globally with a time of 2:43.20.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Karimzadeh competed in the 50m breaststroke SB3 final, setting another national record with a time of 1:10.47 and securing fifth place in the world rankings.
