The national men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball teams of Iran were seen off for the Asia-Oceania Championship competitions

 

According to the public relations of the Federation, the farewell ceremony for the wheelchair basketball teams heading to the Asia-Oceania Championship in Thailand took place next to the tomb of the unknown martyr resting at the federation’s headquarters, with the presence of federation and association officials.

The men’s team consists of Mohammad Hassan Sayari, Morteza Abedi, Amir Reza Ahmadi, Abdoljilil Garanjik, Iman Bagzadeh, Mehdi Abbasi, Mohammad Mohamadzadeh, Mehdi Ghorbani, Mohsen Tolouei, Erfan Bakhshandeh, Abolfazl Jalayi, and Vahid Saadatpour, coached by Behrouz Soltani, with Adel Tarafi as coach and Farzad Yazdani as fitness coach.

The women’s team includes Rogheih Amiri, Mehdi Rouhani, Najmeh Safaei Doost, Rogheih Salehi, Samira Khaleghi, Zahra Nasri, Nadia Baluchi, Maryam Abbasfard, Fatemeh Molaei, Rogheih Ghazilu, Zahra Habibi, and Fatemeh Moradi, coached by Azadeh Sadat Moeini, with Gholamreza Nami as technical advisor.

The Iran wheelchair basketball teams will compete in the Asia-Oceania championship with hopes of achieving top rankings and showcasing their talent on the international stage.
