In the women’s air pistol preliminary round, Nasrin Shahi, Faezeh Ahmadi, and Najmeh Saadati competed. Nasrin Shahi ranked second with a record of 573 and Faezeh Ahmadi ranked eighth with 561, both qualifying for the finals. Najmeh Saadati placed eighteenth with a score of 547. All three qualified for the Nagoya Para Asian Games and the World Championship.
In the men’s air pistol preliminary, Seyed Mohammadreza Mirshafiei, Rasoul Hejarian, and Mostafa Khadem competed. Mirshafiei ranked ninth with 559, Khadem tenth with 557, and Hejarian nineteenth with 548. All three qualified for the Nagoya Para Asian Games and the World Championship.
The World Para Shooting Cup runs from October 28 to November 4 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting, and Golf Club, with 213 athletes from 39 countries competing in 40 team and individual events across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.
In the women’s pistol final, Nasrin Shahi set a record of 239 points to win the gold medal, and Faezeh Ahmadi earned the bronze with 215.6 points. The Iranian men’s and women’s air pistol teams each won silver medals in the team events. These results demonstrate the growing strength of Iranian para-shooting on the global stage.
