According to the Public Relations Department of the Federation , on the fifth day of the World Para Powerlifting Championships in the senior category, Fatemeh Ansari, the national representative of our country, competed in the 67 kg weight class. She successfully lifted 85 kg and 90 kg in her first and second attempts, respectively, but failed to lift 96 kg in her third attempt, ultimately finishing second in Group C of this weight category.
The national senior team of our country is participating in this event with the lineup of Mahdieh Mohammadian, Fatemeh Ansari, Zahra Aghaei Samani, Hadis Beitollahi, Samaneh Hoda Aq Qaleh, and Niko Rouzbehani, under the guidance of Mahsima Babaei and Seyedeh Maryam Hosseini.
The senior competitions are being held from October 10 to 17, with the final day dedicated to the team events. In total, 542 athletes from 71 National Paralympic Committees are taking part in these championships.
