National Paralympic Day in Lorestan: Honoring Champions and Celebrating the Spirit of Empowerment

The National Paralympic Day ceremony was held in Lorestan Province with the participation of a group of officials, national champions, coaches, para-athletes, and students of special schools. The event, featuring various festive and recreational programs, created a joyful atmosphere and served as an opportunity to honor the determination and capabilities of athletes with disabilities.
According to the Public Relations Department of the  Federation for , Farhad Dinarvand, Director General of Sports and Youth of Lorestan Province, highlighted the prominent role of Paralympic athletes at national and international levels, stating that para-athletes embody determination, hope, and motivation, and honoring them means appreciating great spirit and tireless effort.
Azizpour, Deputy Director for Sports of the Provincial Department of Sports and Youth, also emphasized the importance of expanding sports for all social groups, saying that para sports serve as an inspiring model for society and deserve the highest level of support.
Hamid Rashidi, President of the Lorestan Sports Federation for the Disabled and War Veterans, stated that the enthusiastic participation of athletes and families on this day conveys a message of dignity, pride, and hope to society.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished figures from the fields of sports, education, the IRGC, and Basij.
Major Bahrami, Head of the Lorestan Basij Sports Organization, underscored the integration of revolutionary values and sports culture.
Mansour Karimifard, Commander of the Khorramabad IRGC Branch, described support for para sports as a cultural and social responsibility.
Darmanan, Governor of Khorramabad, referred to the key role of para-athletes in enhancing the province’s social vitality.
Jamshidi, Head of Physical Education at the Department of Education, called for increased support for sports among students of special schools.
Mostafa Bahrami, national para-athletics team coach, praised Lorestan Province’s strong potential and talent in the field.
The Head of Exceptional Schools of Khorramabad also stressed the importance of continuing participatory and joyful programs for students.
At the conclusion of the event, a number of athletes, champions, coaches, and students were honored for their achievements and contributions.
