According to the Public Relations Office of the Federation, on the fourth day of the 11th World Para Powerlifting Championships in the adult category, national athlete Hassan Pashapour competed in the 54 kg weight class. He was unsuccessful in lifting 162 kg in his first and second attempts but succeeded in his third attempt with the same weight, ultimately finishing second in Group C of this category.
The Iranian adult national team includes Hassan Pashapour, Alireza Izadi, Mohsen Bakhtiar, Amir Jafari, Rouhollah Rostami, Saeid Eskandarzadeh, Ali Asghar Ebareghi, Mobin Mohammadi, Ali Akbar Gharibshahi, Mehdi Sayyadi, and Ahmad Aminzadeh, under the guidance of Hossein Tavakoli and Ahmad Malahosseini.
The adult competitions are being held from October 11th to 18th (Mehr 19th to 26th), with the final day dedicated to team events. In total, 542 athletes from 71 National Paralympic Committees are participating in the championships.
