According to the Public Relations Office of the Federation, on the third day of the 11th World Para Powerlifting Championships in the adult category, national athlete Zahra Aghaei competed in the 73 kg weight class. She was unsuccessful in lifting 128 kg in her first attempt but successfully lifted the same weight in her second attempt and managed to lift 134 kg in her third attempt, finishing in fourth place worldwide.
The Iranian women’s national adult team includes Mahdieh Mohammadian, Fatemeh Ansari, Zahra Aghaei Samani, Hadis Beitollahi, Samaneh Hoda Aq Qaleh, and Niko Rouzbehani, under the guidance of Mahsima Babaei and Seyedeh Maryam Hosseini.
The adult competitions are being held from October 11th to 18th (Mehr 19th to 26th), with the final day dedicated to team events. In total, 542 athletes from 71 National Paralympic Committees are participating in the championships.
