The Federation has launched a national talent identification and development program aimed at forming a youth national team and building a strong foundation for the senior national teams.

The federation recently held its second specialized webinar focused on talent identification in sitting volleyball, featuring Dr. Jalil Kohpayezadeh, federation president; Mostafavi, head of the Talent and Student Committee; Dr. Zargaran, head of classification committee; Mohammadreza Rahimi, national team coach; Sajedinia, sitting volleyball expert; and provincial officials.

Mostafavi explained the program is conducted online to reduce travel costs for athletes. Video tutorials on how athletes with disabilities can register in the system will be distributed to provincial federations to facilitate easy registration.

Technical materials on sitting volleyball have been provided to provincial federations to start local talent identification.

The aim is to develop a consistent pipeline by discovering talented disabled individuals and 12-day war veterans at the provincial level, inviting them to regional teams to train consistently and eventually join the national teams.

Dr. Zargaran emphasized the importance of medical classification and urged provincial federations to collaborate with medical classifiers to confirm eligibility before talent identification.

Coach Rahimi discussed athlete age limits for youth development and physical conditions necessary to build a strong team.

This initiative marks a crucial step toward strengthening youth development and expanding sitting volleyball across Iran while providing structured pathways for emerging talent to reach national level competition.

The federation encourages dedicated provincial coaches and officials to actively promote and recruit athletes to maximize participation and talent discovery.
