The Iranian Special Olympics equestrian delegation, consisting of Shoa Hasanpour, Mohammadreza Bayat, and Amirhossein Bafrani, returned to Tehran on August 27, 2025 (6 Shahrivar 1404) after brilliant performances at the 2025 MENA Special Olympics regional competition held in Al Ain, UAE.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation and the Equestrian Federation, the team, coached by Elham Mosaddeghi and Amirhossein Zakari and supervised by Ali Tahayi, received a warm welcome from Hossein Motiee, federation head, Sharisa Ghafari, secretary-general, Shahrazad Kharman-jadian, vice-president, Ghazaleh Montazem, head of the Para-Equestrian Committee, federation and Special Olympics officials, and the athletes’ families.
At the MENA 2025 competition, the Iranian equestrians shone prominently, earning a total of 9 medals including 5 gold and 4 silver, bringing great honor to the country’s sports community.
