In the recent meeting of the Federation’s Board of Directors on August 19, 2025 (28 Mordad 1404), Dr. Jalil Koohpayehzadeh shared updates on the federation’s international recognition and achievements, highlighting the commendation received from Majid Rashid and the prestigious “Best Manager in Asia” award won by Zahra Nemati.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, Dr. Koohpayehzadeh, federation president, participated with the Secretary-General and managers in the meeting.

Dr. Koohpayehzadeh reported the national boccia team’s upcoming participation in the Kazakhstan competition, stressing hopes for a successful return supported by the federation and the Boccia Association.
Reflecting on his participation in the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) assembly—which included the IPC president, APC officials, international federation heads, and national committee leaders—he noted his role as Chair of the Asian Sports Medicine and Science Committee. In his speech, he detailed federation initiatives such as electronic health records, online registration systems, and talent scouting platforms, which received broad acclaim.
Majid Rashid, APC President, praised these scientific efforts as valuable contributions to the development of sports across Asia, showing Iran’s special status and capacity to offer practical scientific solutions in global sports.
Dr. Koohpayehzadeh proudly mentioned Zahra Nemati’s achievement as the Best Manager in Asia, underscoring that Iranian veteran and disabled champions excel not only in sporting arenas but also in leadership roles on Asian and global stages.
He also referenced the recent annual general assembly of the federation held with participation from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, and provincial federation heads who engaged via webinar. Despite the remote format, the assembly was successful, providing a comprehensive and transparent report on last year’s achievements. He expressed hope that next year’s assembly would allow provincial leaders to attend in person to foster greater interaction and collaboration.
