In alignment with expanding infrastructure for sports for persons with disabilities and supporting champion veterans and para-athletes, sport-area benefactors announced the launch of the first “Home for Disabled Sports” in Tehran during a visit to the national boccia team training camp.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, Mohammad Ali Rouhi Ferdpour and Dr. Hassan Hamzehzadeh—two active benefactors in disabled sports—visited the boccia national team camp and observed the athletes’ training. The high spirit and determination of the athletes were commended by the benefactors.
A joint meeting was then held with Dr. Jalil Koohpayehzadeh (President), Majid Nezami (Secretary-General), Mohammad Ali Hosseinpour (Economic Advisor to the Federation), and benefactors of disabled sports. During the session, Rouhi Ferdpour expressed his gratitude for the efforts in developing sports for veterans and the disabled, emphasizing the need for continued support.
He announced plans for establishing a venue called the “Home for Disabled Sports” in Tehran and expressed hope that, with the collaboration and engagement of benevolent contributors, this center would become the first official hub for veterans and disabled athletes in the capital.
