At the General Assembly of the Veterans and Disabled Sports Federation, Seyed Mohammad Sharvin Asbaghian, Deputy of Elite and Professional Sports Development at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, emphasized the ministry’s continued support for veterans and disabled athletes and outlined its strategic focus on enhancing their achievements.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, Asbaghian expressed his pleasure to be among the assembly members and stated that the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s vision for developing and strengthening veterans and disabled sports has been realized in practice. He noted that Dr. Ahmad Donyamali, Minister of Sports and Youth, demonstrated his special attention to this field by attending the executive board meeting of the National Olympic Committee and guaranteed practical support for these athletes.
He added that the ministry pays special attention to Paralympic athletes and sports because these champions have repeatedly raised the Iranian flag in international arenas, including the Paralympic and Para-Asian Games, bringing national honor and unity since the Islamic Revolution.
Asbaghian stated that planning has been done for the country’s top sports talents Olympiad, including veterans and disabled athletes, to provide them with growing opportunities for development.
He expressed hope that in upcoming events such as the Islamic Solidarity Games, the Youth Para-Asian Games in Bahrain, and the Para-Asian Games in Nagoya, Iranian veterans and disabled athletes will continue their leading medal-winning performance and bring pride to the nation.
