A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Iranian National Paralympic Committee and the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) was signed by Majid Rashid, President of the APC, and Dr. Ghafour Kargari, President of the Iranian National Paralympic Committee.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation and the National Paralympic Committee, this cooperation agreement was finalized during the second day of the Asian Paralympic Committee conference in Astana. The MoU concerns the establishment of the Asian Paralympic Higher Education Center, a sports training center, and a venue for continental competitions (APC STEC) in Iran.
The center aims to develop specialized educational programs, train efficient human resources, transfer up-to-date knowledge, and elevate the scientific level of Paralympic sports across the continent.
This initiative is the result of consistent efforts and strategic planning by the Iranian National Paralympic Committee in education, human resource development, active international diplomacy, and enhancement of scientific and operational infrastructure in Paralympic sports.
The Asian Paralympic Committee conference is being held on August 11-12, 2025 (20-21 Mordad 1404) in Astana, followed by the General Assembly of this committee on August 13-14, 2025 (23-24 Mordad 1404).
