Start of Training for Men’s and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Teams from Tomorrow

The training camp for the men’s and women’s national wheelchair basketball teams will be held at the  Federation’s national teams’ complex.

According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, the third preparation camp for the men’s and women’s national wheelchair basketball teams, in preparation for the Nagoya 2026 Para-Asian Games, began today and will continue until August 13, 2025 (23 Mordad 1404).

Men’s Team
Invited athletes for this camp include:
Morteza Abedi, Mohammad Hassan Sayari, Mahdi Abbasi, Iman Bagzadeh, Mohsen Tolouei, Vahid Saadatpour, Mahdi Ghorbani, Amir Reza Ahmadi, Mohsen Bigdeli, Mohammad Razzaghi, Reza Eivazi, Hasan Abdi, Faleh Ayashi, Mohammad Mohammadzadeh, Jalil Ghoranjik, Erfan Bakhshandeh, Abolfazl Jalai, and Mohammad Khajestemehr.

The training sessions are conducted under the supervision of head coach Behrouz Soltani and assistant coach Adel Tarfi. Bodybuilding coach Faraz Yazdani, analyst Alireza Behjat, and cultural coach Hojatoleslam Ahmad Rahmani are also present alongside the athletes. The camp supervisor is Ahmad Shokri.

Women’s Team
Athletes invited to the women’s camp include:
Roghayeh Ghazilou, Samira Khaleghi, Roghayeh Amiri, Mahdieh Rouhani, Roghayeh Salehi, Fatemeh Molaei, Neda Baloochi, Nadia Baloochi, Zahra Naseri Keshteli, Najmeh Safaei Doost, Maryam Abbaspour, Fatemeh Moradi, Raheleh Hajebi, Tahereh Mohammad Moradi, Mobina Rasteh, and Zahra Habibi.

Their training is supervised by head coach Azadeh Sadat Moeini.

The camp is supported by technical advisor Hamid Khorasanizadeh, guest coach Mahsa Hemmati, national team strength coach Mona Dezfulian, and cultural coach Zahra Saeedi. Zahra Nouri serves as the camp supervisor.
