In accordance with the instructions and regulations issued by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, elections for the Athletes and Coaches Commissions of the Federation were conducted.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation, holding elections for these commissions is mandatory every two years. According to the related bylaws, each commission is composed of 9 athletes, 7 coaches, and 7 referees, selected from eligible individuals. For this year’s elections, official correspondence was sent twice to provincial sports boards requesting the names of qualified candidates for the election process. As a result, 11 provinces cooperated and submitted the names of eligible candidates within the deadline.
After registration, the Election Supervisory Committee, consisting of the federation’s Secretary-General, Inspector, Legal Officer, and a representative from the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s assemblies, convened at the federation headquarters to review the candidates’ documents and qualifications. All candidates’ credentials were confirmed.
The elections were held online through the federation’s official system on August 4, 2025 (13 Mordad 1404), with participation from 435 referees, 347 coaches, and 137 athletes.
