Media Literacy Session Held with Women’s National Para-Table Tennis Teams

A media literacy course aimed at enhancing the understanding of female athletes in the junior and senior national para-table tennis teams about virtual space and media was conducted. The educational class entitled “Media Literacy and the Virtual Space” was taught by Dr. Pourhossein.

According to the Public Relations office of the Veterans and Disabled Sports Federation, the class was organized to familiarize athletes with media concepts, understanding virtual space, and strategies for managing behavior during interviews with media representatives.

The federation’s Public Relations base, in collaboration with the Center for Education, Assessment, and Performance, has emphasized the importance of media and virtual space awareness by including such specialized courses in its professional development program for national athletes.
