The fourth webinar meeting of provincial sports federations was held with the participation of Dr. Koohpayezadeh, President of the Federation, and Mandegar Fard, Director of Provincial Affairs.
According to the Public Relations office of the Federation:
Dr. Koohpayezadeh emphasized their efforts to organize national team training camps effectively. Recently, the women’s para-athletics record trials were conducted with the participation of selected athletes, whose performances were reviewed and evaluated to invite the best individuals to the national camp.
He reported productive meetings with Dr. Donyamali, Minister of Sports and Youth, where they evaluated the status of nine sports disciplines sending athletes to the 2026 Para Asian Games in Nagoya, as well as two sports disciplines participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games. The Minister expressed strong supportive views towards veterans and disabled sports.
The Federation is striving to utilize the law allowing 1% of private companies’ taxes for the development of this sport sector, supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
Recognizing the importance of talent identification, the Federation will soon launch a talent scouting system aimed at identifying and registering talented athletes from provinces nationwide.
Additionally, meetings have been held with counterparts in single-discipline federations to leverage their resources and infrastructure to support the growth of veterans and disabled sports, including efforts to engage professional clubs in national leagues.
In this session, the Secretary of Hormozgan Province’s Federation reported an excellent performance, achieving a 12-place rise to rank fifth in the country and first place in Group J.
Also present were the heads of South Khorasan Province Federation, noted for achievements in intellectual disability sports, and representatives from the provinces of Isfahan, Mazandaran, and Khorasan Razavi, all recognized for top performances in the 1403 (2024-2025) annual evaluation.
