Dr. Koohpayezadeh: The National Talent Identification System for Athletes Will Be Launched Soon

The fourth board meeting of the Federation was held with the presence of the president and board members.

Dr. Koohpayezadeh, federation president, expressed condolences on the martyrdom of commanders, scientists, and compatriots during the 12-day Sacred Defense, emphasizing the commitment to advancing the country’s sports sector inspired by the determination of martyrs and honored veterans. He highlighted the aim to further raise the nation’s flag in international sporting arenas.

He noted that following the 12-day war, the federation has ensured uninterrupted progress, implementing all resolutions from the Para-Asian Games Nagoya organizing committee. A comprehensive report on federation activities was recently presented to the Minister of Sports and Youth.

Dr. Koohpayezadeh also mentioned ongoing efforts, under the directive of the ministry, to utilize equipment and facilities from parallel federations for national team training.

Significantly, he announced the imminent unveiling of a National Talent Identification System that will enable athletes from every city and province to register their information and join the veterans and disabled sports community, marking a key step in talent scouting and athlete development.

Furthermore, the federation is working on designing software tailored for people with disabilities to exercise at home. Once completed, this app will offer over 6,000 exercise movements, including guidance by virtual coaches, personalized according to users’ physical conditions reported within the app, empowering veterans and disabled individuals to maintain fitness outside formal training venues.

Majid Nezami, acting secretary, provided a report on the federation’s recent activities.

The meeting also reviewed and evaluated certain articles of the federation’s disciplinary committee regulations.
