The Chess Association of IRISFD recently concluded its online para chess tournament.
According to the Public Relations of the Federation, the Para Chess Association held its online competition on Thursday, July 2, with a time control format and a 7-round Swiss system. Thirty athletes from 13 provinces participated, with Hamid Shariatpanahi serving as the chief arbiter.
At the conclusion of the event, Abolfazl Kazemian from Mazandaran Province secured first place with 6 points, claiming the championship title. Amir Kachian from Alborz Province placed second with 5.5 points. Soroush Rast from North Khorasan Province, also with 5.5 points, ranked third due to a lower tie-break score. Ali Bayat from Hamadan Province finished in fourth place with 5 points.
