On July 29, 2025 (9th of Tir 1404), during the fourth executive committee meeting for the 2025 Dubai Para-Asian Youth Games chaired by Dr. Ghafour Karimi and attended by committee members and heads of cooperating sports federations, the name, motto, and head of Iran’s delegation for the event were unveiled.
According to the Public Relations of the Federation and citing the National Paralympic Committee, Iran’s delegation will participate under the leadership of Dr. Maryam Kazemipour, Vice President of the National Paralympic Committee, with the name “Children of Iran, Ambassadors of Victory.”
Additionally, Ali-Asghar Hassanzadeh will accompany the delegation as Deputy Head of the National Athletes’ Caravan in Dubai 2025.
The delegation’s motto, inspired by the Quranic verse:
“Indeed, those who have said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remained steadfast – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], ‘Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise which you were promised.'” (Surah Fussilat, Ayah 30),
is summarized as “Faith, Steadfastness, Power” for the Dubai 2025 Para-Asian Youth Games.
Present at the meeting were Dr. Koohpayezadeh, President of the Federation of Sports for the Disabled and Injured; Mazloumi, President of the Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired; Saei, President of the Taekwondo Federation; Pouria, President of the Badminton Federation; as well as Dr. Kazemipour, Vice President; Hassanzadeh, Head of the Permanent Games Committee; Dr. Salgi, Deputy of Elite Sports; Mirzahosseini, Treasurer; Salgi, Director of International Affairs; Hosseini, Security Manager; Hoshyar, Cultural Affairs Director; and Shokryan, Public Relations Director of the National Paralympic Committee.
The 5th Para-Asian Youth Games will be held from December 7 to 14, 2025 (16 to 23 Azar 1404) in Dubai, which previously hosted the 3rd edition of the Para-Asian Youth Games in 2017.
The event will feature competitions in 11 sports: 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, Para-Badminton, Para-Taekwondo, Para-Table Tennis, Para-Archery, Para-Athletics, Para-Swimming, Goalball, Para-Shooting, and Para-Powerlifting.
