Women’s Sitting Volleyball Coach: Our Performance in Asia Was Admirable

Maryam Iranmanesh, coach of Iran’s women’s national sitting volleyball team, praised the team’s performance after securing the runner-up position at the Asia-Oceania Championship.

According to the Public Relations of the Federation , Iranmanesh expressed her condolences for the martyrdom of compatriots, commanders, and scientists of the country. She thanked God for the good results achieved in this competition and described the team’s performance as commendable.

She added, “Although the players were defeated in the final, they performed at a high level, which promises that in the near future, we will be a strong competitor against China.”

Iranmanesh noted that the competition level was good, with Australia and Thailand showing significant improvement compared to previous years. Japan also played excellently, and Iran had a balanced match against them in the group stage.

Regarding the presence of Hadi Rezaei as the technical advisor, she said, “Rezaei’s presence was a strong point for our team. The Iranian team played cohesive and powerful games in this tournament, making it difficult for opponents, and they acknowledged this.”

She concluded, “I hope that with the support of the Federation of Sports for the Disabled and Injured and the National Paralympic Committee, we can hold regular and well-organized training camps and deliver our best performance at next year’s World Championship, and even secure a Paralympic quota.”
