The 213th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation was held with the presence of members.
According to the Public Relations of the Federation, Dr. Kouhpaye Zadeh, President of the Federation, opened the session by condemning the criminal aggression of the Zionist regime. He expressed condolences on the martyrdom of commanders, scientific elites, athletes, and innocent citizens of Iran, extending sympathy to Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), the Supreme Leader, and the Iranian nation. He praised the powerful response of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and armed forces, emphasizing confidence in the ultimate victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the destruction of the occupying regime.
Dr. Kouhpaye Zadeh highlighted the success of the Iranian women’s national sitting volleyball team in securing the runner-up position at the Asia-Oceania Championship in China. He noted the support from China in facilitating the team’s return to Iran via the Iran-Turkey border amid travel plan changes.
He added that, with careful planning and reliance on God, the federation managed to launch its activities across numerous Paralympic and non-Paralympic disciplines. Despite financial limitations, all planned programs for the first quarter of the year were fully executed. Numerous meetings were held with government, private, and academic institutions, and various working groups were formed to identify the best path for the development of sports for disabled and injured athletes with the support of officials and scientific experts.
Commitment to Promoting Disabled and Injured Sports Culture
Dr. Kouhpaye Zadeh emphasized the federation’s dedication to promoting the culture of sports among disabled and injured individuals, highlighting the importance of physical activity for maintaining health in the target community.
Encouragement from the Minister of Sports and Youth
The president shared that after three meetings regarding the Nagoya Para-Asian Games with the Minister of Sports and Youth, the minister acknowledged the challenges but praised the federation’s excellent management. This recognition greatly motivated the federation’s staff, provincial officials, and sports associations to continue their successful track record and achievements.
Reports and New Appointment
During the meeting, Nezami, Acting Secretary of the Federation, presented a report on activities conducted in June. Hossein Pour, the federation’s economic advisor, reported on efforts to engage financial supporters, attract funding, philanthropists, and social responsibility initiatives.
At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Mahmoudi was appointed as an honorary member of the Board of Directors by decree of the federation president.
