Matin Panaghi, the sole representative of Iran in the para Muay Thai category, won the first-ever gold medal for Iran in para Muay Thai at the World Muay Thai Championships held in Antalya, Turkey

On Wednesday, June 28, 2025, he outperformed competitors from Turkey, the UAE, and Greece to claim the championship title. The World Muay Thai Championships featured athletes from 75 countries and took place from June 24 to June 30, 2025. The Federation of Sports for the Disabled and Persons with Disabilities congratulates the large family of para sports and the Muay Thai Association on this historic achievement.
