A cordial meeting was held today between Dr. Mehdi Ali Nejad, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, and the public relations officials of various sports federations to mark Communications and Public Relations Week

The session took place in the Ostad Farsi Hall of the National Olympic Academy.

According to the Public Relations of the Federation  and citing the National Olympic Committee, Dr. Ali Nejad began by congratulating the community on the occasion and expressing appreciation for the efforts of those active in sports communications. He emphasized that the concept of media is undergoing a significant transformation, making the work in public relations more challenging and complex. The proliferation of media outlets means that public opinion is influenced by multiple factors that must be carefully considered.

He continued by stressing the need for synergy among all stakeholders, noting that everyone is part of the same body and shares responsibility for both positive and negative outcomes in sports. He highlighted that the public views sports as a unified entity, so collaboration is essential; otherwise, delivering effective services in sports becomes difficult.

Dr. Ali Nejad assured that the National Olympic Committee is committed to supporting public relations teams, especially through training, the media commission, sports journalists’ association, and solidarity initiatives. He called for strong cooperation between media, public relations, and federations to better serve sports.

Following his remarks, public relations managers and representatives from various federations shared their concerns and challenges, requesting greater support for their departments.

The meeting concluded with appreciation expressed toward the public relations teams of the federations for their dedication and efforts.
