According to the Public Relations of the Federation and quoting the Zurkhaneh and Pahlevani Wrestling Federation, the inaugural team-based Zurkhaneh festival and individual skills event for Down syndrome angels took place with over 80 participants from Isfahan, East Azerbaijan, and Tehran provinces, hosted by the Qom Province Zurkhaneh Board at the Martyrs Soleimanyan Zurkhaneh.
During this event, the Down syndrome angels showcased their talents in team Zurkhaneh disciplines including stone lifting, Kabadeh (a traditional Zurkhaneh exercise), spinning wheel, grass wheel, and Mil (club) play.
Notably, Golshani, the Development Manager of Mass Sports at the Federation, Mirshafiee, President of the Para-Zurkhaneh Association, Sabzevari, Vice President, Maleki, Secretary of the Zurkhaneh Sports Federation, the Director General of Sports and Youth of Qom Province, Amir Fardi, President of the Qom Province Zurkhaneh Board, along with other officials, veterans, and champions of the sport were present at the festival.
