Dr. Koohpayehzadeh, President of IRISFD, issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Federation, the message reads as follows:
“World Down Syndrome Day presents an opportunity to emphasize the importance of empowering these dear individuals through sports. The IRISFD is committed to enhancing the physical and mental development of individuals with intellectual disabilities. As the governing body for disability sports, we consistently strive to improve health conditions for these individuals by addressing their personal and social needs.
The Federation has always worked to support individuals with Down syndrome and autism. We hope that with the support of the Down Syndrome Association, the Welfare Organization, the National Paralympic Committee, the Special Education Organization, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, as well as sports benefactors, opportunities will be created to develop both recreational and competitive sports for these angels through the Federation and provincial sports boards.
On this occasion, I congratulate all individuals with Down syndrome, their families, caregivers, and dedicated professionals. I pray to the Almighty for their health, dignity, and a year full of increasing success.”
