The Special Olympics World Winter Games, hosted in Turin, Italy, concluded with Iranian athletes securing two silver medals in the competition.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Veterans and Disabled Sports Federation, the event saw the participation of 1,500 athletes from 102 countries across eight sports disciplines. Representing Iran, athletes competed in speed skating and figure skating, showcasing their skills on the global stage.
Medal Achievements:
Bita Shahsavari and Shayan Morshedi won silver medals in the short-track speed skating event.
Shib Nikukar secured fourth place in figure skating, earning a Special Olympics ribbon.
Mobina Hassanzadeh, another Iranian representative in figure skating, finished fifth and also received a Special Olympics ribbon.
